I am a STORYTELLER.
The stories might be mine or yours, or even a collective ours. Stories engage readers across writing domains and niches. They expose passion and develop trust. My storytelling conveys authentic experiences and emotions to make readers feel a truth, a desire, and a connection, even if it's not a story with which they are familiar.
I believe that writing is an art, and that I am, at heart, a GEEK ARTIST.
The REMIX concept-a creation of original ideas from a deconstruction and synthesis of existing ideas/things-is central to my work. Even the name of my personal blog, ERrant INtersection, is a remix. Using periodic table magnets to innocently hold photographs, I noticed the symbols for erbium, Er, and indium, In, when placed side-by-side formed my name-ErIn. These magnets remained neighbors on my whiteboard, and during a brainstorm about new pathways for my writing, their presence began to mix into ideas, eventually birthing ERrant INtersection.
With a rare blend of CREATIVITY and DETAIL-ORIENTATION, I bring both professionalism and passion to projects.
My work in managing large projects as a professional developer and curriculum coordinator in a large school district, producing student magazines and shaping young writers as an AP Literature and Composition and Creative Writing teacher, and publishing both creative and educational blogs, translates into a wealth of experience and expertise for writing projects in multiple genres, from technical to creative. I enjoy the varied demands of different writing styles and contributing to the writing process at each step leading to publication.
Client relationships are essential.
I strive to understand the intricacies of your goals, provide honesty geared toward improvement, and collaborate to ensure the best possible product. I am flexible and diligent, approach problems with positivity, work successfully with many different people, and believe in giving my best self all the time.
I am a unique thinker who brings an uncommon perspective to your project.
This is important for people and businesses trying to attract new readers and stay ahead of market innovations. Research is critical to my process. I take the time to understand your goals, your readers, and/or your product. I work hard to make sure I get it right the first time. Of course, I'm also a perfectionist, so will collaborate with you or your staff to make any changes along the way. My success is entwined with yours. When you hire me, you are making a smart investment in your project.
